Mr. Nair discussed the importance of transitioning to sustainable energy sources and how solar power can help India achieve its goal of 500 GW of clean energy by 2030. He also talked about advancements in solar technology, including cost reductions and increased efficiency, and how businesses can overcome resource-related challenges with digital tools and emerging technologies. Mr. Iyer enlightened the audience on the topic of "An Introduction to Innovation," briefly covering" The WHY," "the WHAT," and "The HOW of Innovations. “While in the past, Mr. Iyer has worked in multiple senior positions across various businesses, during his career spanning over five decades, he, however, in his own words, currently considers himself to be a Teacher, Author & Consultant. As of Today, he has authored two books: "The 9 Nuggets of Innovation" and "Demystifying Retail," and freelances to help retailers to excel by implementing the "Four Golden Rules" for retail excellence that he has crafted.

As a part of "Cohesion," Alumni Connect Series, PGPEX-VLM, 17th batch hosted Mr. Prashant Chouhan - Alumnus of 7th Batch PGPEX-VLM on June 17, 2023. He currently is the Capability lead for MBE and Product Data Strategy for Global Strategy and Consulting at Accenture. He started his career with the prestigious R&D organization BARC and was instrumental in building key strategic products for the nation's interest. Later he has been associated with EMD – USA; TCS Advisory Services before joining Accenture. In his interaction with the cohort, Mr. Prashant stressed the significance of How Digital and data are becoming the cornerstones of modern consulting approaches. He also stated how other businesses needed to take the road of "Digital Excellence" in the future to stay relevant after consumer-grade AI tools. One of the interesting facts which was derived was how the Industry 4.0 Consulting market had shown strong growth even during the global macro environment and the general consulting market is flat.

While interacting with the students, Mr. Sourabh recalled Prof. Shoji Shiba's teachings on "Jumping in the Fish Bowl" via the Five Step Discovery Process (FSDP) through the PGPEX-VLM program. PGPEX VLM Batch 17 students were enlightened by Mr Sabyasachi Goswami, CEO at Perfios Software Solutions, as invited by Prof. Saptarshi Purkayastha during one of his Strategic Analysis sessions.BFSI companies are becoming more digital, and a new competitor is emerging every day to challenge existing ones. Add the twist of changing government regulations and the growing complex Indian market; the BFSI sector is a perfect example of a misty medley of probabilities and possibilities. The BFSI companies are sitting on a pile of data to make sense, but they need someone to help them make sense of it. Here comes Perfios, an Indian SaaS company that provides solutions to major BFSI companies in India, which include but are not limited to fraud detection, automation of data-driven credit and pricing decisions, digitisation of manual documents, insurance claim management process, etc.
 PGPEX-VLM 17th batch is thankful to Mr Sabyasachi Goswami, CEO at Perfios Software Solutions, for the insightful session on business strategy and the impact of Fintech in Indian industries. The students were thrilled to share insights from an enlightening Fintech Talk, featuring the esteemed guest, Prof. Pankaj Kumar Jain. He has published his work in leading academic journals such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Management Science, and Contemporary Accounting Research among others and served as an expert reviewer for these journals in addition to the National Science Foundation. His award-winning research work with students on the financial market is widely cited and recognized both nationally and internationally.
