Library Resource
The institute library was set up in March 1962 and named as B. C. Roy Memorial Library in the memory of Dr. B. C. Roy, the first Chairman of the Institute. The Library has been primarily designed to meet the requirements of the Institute’s academic programmes. The Library has a collection of more than 1.6 lakh volumes of books and bound journals. It subscribes to 500 journals and provides access to more than 40,000 online full text journals. It is considered as one of the best management libraries in Asia. The functions and services of the library are computerized.
Executive Education
IIM Calcutta conducts a large number of Management Development Programmes (MDPs) to provide opportunities to different individuals, organizations, and business outfits for enhancing their managerial and leadership skills. These programmes are of short and long durations, to enable candidates find a schedule that would best complement their curriculum and distinct requirements. Through MDPs, practicing managers and corporate professionals are able to polish their managerial and analytical skills, which ultimately help them in emerging as ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’.
IIMC is now recognized as a global leader in satellite-based executive education, offering a number of long duration management programmes (LDPs) in technical collaboration with NIIT and Hughes. These programmes cover different aspects of the corporate world, as it couples IIMC’s proven expertise with the latest technological support from its partners.
