The Indian Institute of Management Case Research Centre (IIMCCRC) hosted its four-day 9th Case Method Workshop during 3rd to 8th March 2022. The 9th Case Method Workshop was exclusively dedicated to meeting the demand for handholding in case-writing. The workshop broadly focused on four themes: 1. Case Ideation & Proposal, 2. Developing the Case, 3. Developing the Teaching note and 4. Modifying the case after testing & publishing the case. In order to provide the participants with experiential learning, each module was interspersed with relevant assignments combined with feedback from experienced faculty.
The selection of the participants for the workshop was based on the submission of a write up on a case idea and a short bio. The event saw an active participation of professors, assistant professors, research scholars and doctoral students from various management institutions and other institutions from all over India. So, the workshop also allowed the participants to interact and network with academics from diverse fields of expertise and learn from each other’s experiences.
The workshop began with a welcome note by IIMCCRC coordinator, Prof. Arpita Ghosh followed by an inaugural speech by the respected Director of IIM Calcutta. The eminent external educator from Harvard Business School, Prof. V. G. Narayanan, and experienced IIMC faculty members, namely Prof. Ramendra Singh, Prof. Arpita Ghosh and Prof. Megha Sharma were the key speakers and facilitators for this workshop. The workshop was closed with a Valedictory speech by the IIMCCRC coordinator.
