The 16th batch of IIMC, popularly known as the ‘Sweet-Sixteeners’, held a Reunion at Vishakhapatnam at Taj Gateway from Dec 27th to Dec 30th, 2014.
A total of 7 alumni with their families participated in the Reunion that included awe-inspiring visits to the Borra Caves, the largest caves in India; the ancient Thotlakonda Buddhist Monastery, the Rushikonda Beach and the revered Simhachalam temple. The highlight of the Reunion was the delightful participation of six new members who hadn't attended any of the earlier three reunions held so far at Kolkata, Mumbaiand Agra.
The Reunion was illuminated by a heart warming Veena performance by Smriti, daughter of our alumnus Arvind Chitra; her soulful music mesmerized everyone and was followed by a peppy karaoke session that lured many participants to belch out their best to the good old tunes. On the last day, a local group sang old pop songs that were coupled with a lot of dancing followed by an intense Shayari session by Harjit Talwar.
