Summer Placements Report PGDBA Batch 2017-2019

The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics program jointly offered by IIM Calcutta, ISI Kolkata and IIT Kharagpur has continued its streak of impressive internship placements. The process for the third batch (2017-19) concluded with 100% of the students getting placed and the highest monthly stipend offered was 1.4 Lakhs INR.

The average monthly stipend bettered last year’s number by 22.8% reaching 113,565 INR this year. The median stipend rose by a remarkable 29.4% to reach 111,100 INR.

The process witnessed enthusiastic participation from several sectors such as BFSI, Consulting, Healthcare, Market research, E-commerce, FMCG, Energy and Telecom with the major recruiters being DE Shaw, Amazon, Gartner, PwC US Advisory, Johnson and Johnson, Barclays, MasterCard, AB InBev and NTPC.

The flagship data science program of the country is a unique offering that trains students to tackle challenging business issues. The students are imparted functional statistical knowledge during their stay at ISI Kolkata, technological expertise at IIT Kharagpur while IIM Calcutta focuses on application of analytics to the real world businesses problems.

The overwhelming success of the internship process was lauded by the placement co-ordinators of the tri-institutes. Prof. Arun Misra from IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Abhishek Goel from IIM Calcutta and Prof. Debapriyo Majumdar from ISI Kolkata thanked the companies for their participation.
