IIM Calcutta congratulates Professor Debashis Saha for the award of 'Class of 1992-27 Forever Chair Professorship' instituted by the alumni of the PGP 27th batch.

We are pleased to share the good news that IIM Calcutta, in its 250th BoG meeting held on 22nd December 2021, has approved the award of "Class of 1992-27 Forever Chair Professorship" to Professor Debashis Saha, Professor MIS, IIM Calcutta.

Professor Debashis Saha of the Management Information Systems (MIS) is leading with 6952 citations. Professor Saha’s research contributions span areas such as Digital Future of Business, ICT for Development, Digital Business Transformation, IT strategy and governance, Emerging ICT paradigms, Digital Disruptions, Business Transformation, and Business-driven IT. He has published about 300 research papers in prestigious journals including Technology Forecasting and Social Change, Decision Support Systems, OMEGA-The International Journal of Management Science, Simulation Modeling Practice and Theory, IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Parallel & Distributed Computing, IEEE Network, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communication, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, International Journal of Network Management. As a recognition of his significant contributions to the field, Professor Saha has been nominated on the Governing Council of the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology [IDRBT] - an Apex-level body of the Government of India to Spearhead Technology Absorption in the Indian Banking and Financial Sector.
