IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP)

The IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) is a not for profit (Section 8) company established under the aegis of IIM Calcutta to promote Entrepreneurship and Innovation. It is a thriving ecosystem that nurtures startups, empowering them to transform ideas into impactful businesses.

The broad objective of IIMCIP is to actively foster innovation and socially impactful entrepreneurs and enable livelihood creation.

In realizing to this vision, IIMCIP is supported with central government agencies such as NSTEDB (DST), MEITY, NRLM, BIRAC, and DST (DBT) for strategically leveraging their expertise and resources to implement pioneering entrepreneurial development policies and initiatives. Furthermore, IIMCIP assumes the role of a trusted knowledge partner to State Governments across East and North-East India, extending comprehensive support in the execution of entrepreneurship development programs tailored to the region's needs. It also works as a knowledge partner with corporate agencies to leverage innovation and entrepreneurship across states. Through partnerships with a diverse array of stakeholders, including investors, esteemed research institutes, academia, corporate entities, and chambers of commerce, IIMCIP offers a comprehensive suite of support services to startups and innovators. This includes access to mentorship from the network comprising IIMC alumni, esteemed faculty members, seasoned entrepreneurs, and judicious investors, who impart invaluable insights across various facets of business and technology commercialization.

  • Startup Support Programs:catering support to startups at different maturity stage and take their business to the next level. We have supported over 1000 startups on their entrepreneurial journey

  • Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development: We have organized 190+ hackathons and business plan contests, inspiring and empowering the youth to ideate and develop innovative startup concepts.
  • Enabling the enablers:c.We have provided 50+ tailored capacity-building programs aimed at empowering the enablers to nurture entrepreneurial skill effectively.

  • Scaling up rural enterprises:IIMCIP has empowered 470 women-led and women-owned rural enterprises, aimed at not only fostering their growth but also sustaining the mainstream economic landscape.
