Pan IIM Alumni Singapore (PIIMA) is organising their thought leadership conclave IIMPACT 2019 on August 17, 2019 at MBS Convention Centre Singapore. Themed LIFE 4.0, there will be insightful discussions on ‘How to take charge in a disrupted world?’ and ‘How to be active participants in shaping the future to enable better life for ourselves and our communities?'
The packed one day program will have insightful speakers and panellists covering Planet 4.0, Work & Family 4.0, Money 4.0 and Security & Privacy 4.0. Previous Guests-of-Honour at IIMPACT have included the Prime Minister of Singapore Mr. Lee who interacted with the audience in ‘fireside chat’ format. IIMPACT 2019 will host about 800 participants.

IIM Calcutta-NYU Stern India Research Conference in Financial Economics at NYU Stern
Kose John and Ashok Banerjee organizers IIM Calcutta-NYU Stern India Research Conference in Financial Economics at NYU Stern, which will be held on October 11, 2019
As the world's largest democracy, with the third largest economy in real terms, the fastest growing working-age population, and a rapidly developing financial system, India is set to become one of the world's most important economic forces in the coming decade. Recent national-level economic initiatives and financial reforms such as demonetization, the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax and the PMJDY program for banking the unbanked have far-reaching implications. This conference will bring together the leading academic and policy experts for an in-depth discussion of India's financial markets and implications for the global economy. Papers are invited in the areas of finance and economics covering issues that concern India in particular and emerging economies in general. Preference will be given to papers that address challenges and implications of major policy initiatives in India and Indian financial markets. Researchers are encouraged to submit papers that use Indian data.
