Sambit Brata Rath

Sambit Brata Rath completed his doctorate in Operations Management under the guidance of Prof. Preetam Basu and Prof. Prasenjit Mandal. His dissertation titled “Essays at the Interface of Supply Chain Finance and E-commerce” explores critical issues related to Platform credit financing (PCF), such as determining the optimal interest rate and analysing its interaction with traditional financing modes like bank credit financing (BCF) and manufacturer credit financing (MCF). His research interest lies in Online retailing, Industry 4.0, and Working capital management.
His papers have been accepted for presentation at multiple reputed conferences, such as POMS, INFORMS, SOM-India, European Conference on Operational Research. He won the best paper award at the XXIV Annual International Conference of the Society of Operations Management (SOM-2021). His paper has appeared in Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review. After completing his PhD. from IIM Calcutta, he joined XLRI as Assistant Professor.
