Ashish Kumar Jha completed his doctorate from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta in the area of Management Information Systems. His dissertation titled “Innovation in IT Firms: Drivers, Activities and Outcomes” analyses the various factors that lead to innovation in IT and how these factors varies across different countries. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His research interests are in the areas of Innovation in IT firms, IT strategy of firms and IT services.
His papers have appeared (or are forthcoming) in journals like Information & Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Informs Service Science, Journal of Information Privacy and Security, Asian Management Insights. His papers have been accepted for presentation at various conferences including European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS), IFIP WG8.2 Workshop on Organization and Society in Information Systems (OASIS), DSI Annual Meeting, Informs Annual Meeting etc.. He has also co-developed multiple systems which have been filed for patents in Indian, EU and US geographies. Ashish regularly reviews articles for journals like Information & Management and International Journal of Production Economics as well as for conferences including ECIS, AOM annual meeting, EURAM etc.
