PGPEX-VLM International Program

The PGPEX-VLM batch successfully completed the International Immersion Program at Japan under the guidance of Prof. Shoji Shiba and JICA. The event witnessed more than 150 Japanese delegates and citizens. The program witnessed unique presentations such as the "Cool India show" to depict the various aspects of Indian culture and heritage sites such as the Taj Mahal, the great Indian Weddings, various spices of India, Indian Gods and Goddesses and Indian Cinema. During the program a Plant visit to Toyota, Suzuki, Mitsui Chemicals, JR Shinkansen and Sony Museum was also organized.

Seminar on "Exploring Values: Interdisciplinary Perspectives"

On behalf of the editorial committee of the Journal of Human Values, a seminar was organised by the Journal on "Exploring Values: Interdisciplinary Perspectives" on Friday, 13th March at the MCHV seminar room. The seminar, convened by Prof Dev N. Pathak of South Asian University, New Delhi and Prof Manish Thakur (IIM Calcutta), had five paper presentations by scholars working on various aspects of human values. The seminar also led to a special issue of the Journal of Human Values.

Workshop on 'Using Documentary Films in the Classroom'

On behalf of the MCHV committee, a workshop on using documentary films in the classroom was held on Friday, 20th March in the FPR seminar room of IIMC. The two-hour workshop was beautifully conducted by Jessie Curell, Team Leader and Education Specialist for the National Film Board of Canada
