XL-IIMC Meet
24th -25th January, 2015

An Industry Conclave on Business Analytics was jointly organized by IIMC, IIT Kharagpur and ISI on 27th January, 2015

Three national institutes of repute have come together to offer a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA), the first of its kind in the country. The conclave was aimed at eliciting industry inputs with regard to the needs and expectations from prospective Business Analysts in the face of rising demand for such professionals in India and the world over. CARPE DIEM'15
30th January - 1st February 2015
Last Friday, Carpe Diem started on a jubilant note! The mood soared higher on Day 2 and Day 3 of the cultural festival at IIM Calcutta. With a plethora of activities set up for the festival, students were absolutely spoilt for choice! The star attractions of the day were undoubtedly the flagship events and we are proud to report that this was the first time Carpe Diem had organized 3 celeb nights back to back! Read more here:

Faculty Student Cricket Match

A cricket match was held for students and faculty in the second week of January. It was a much awaited break from the regular schedule. Students had a great time interacting with teachers on the cricket ground! Read more here:

Abhishek Biswas, PGP student of IIM-Calcutta, hits upon an ingenious way of masking gender in foetal ultrasound scans. He has won seed funding to develop the technology that can help end the curse of female foeticide in India. Read more here:

IIMC launches 1-year Healthcare Executive Management Programme (HEMP)

Vinod Dham, Father of the Pentium Chip returning as an entrepreneur after 15 years

The inventor and venture capitalist will be the Chief Executive of an online technology education startup Acadgild, which he has co-founded along with India's storied entrepreneur duo and alumni of IIMC- Krishnan Ganesh and Meena Ganesh. Read more here:
