ICQC - International business quiz at IIM Calcutta

Earlier this week, the Quiz club of IIM Calcutta, ICQC, conducted a unique quiz on international business. Sponsored by Trade and beyond (T&B), the quiz had 30 questions across 4 sections- International Marketing Management, International Trade Operations, International Trade Finance and International Trade Logistics, all of which are certification modules that T&B firm offers. The quiz had a single round of 30 MCQ questions and was attended by around 26 students. Offering a diverse array of questions that tested not only general knowledge but also conceptual understanding and logical ability, the short 30-minute quiz was enjoyed by most. Bharat Shamnani(PGP1) won the quiz, getting 26 of the questions correct, followed closely by Rajarshi Som(PGP2) with 25 correct and Hitesh Bahl & Siddhartha Gorantla(PGP1s) who tied for the third place with 23.
Battlefield Joka

Operations club of IIM Calcutta held their flagship event "Battlefield Joka" on 19th July, 2016. The event was held in two rounds.

Face off

John F Kennedy once said "Without debate, without criticism no administration and no country can succeed and no republic can survive". Keeping this in mind, Public Policy & Politics club presented "Face Off", a knockout debate tournament, inviting teams of 2-3 to argue, debate and take away prizes worth Rs 5000.

Marketing God of Joka

One of the first major contests hosted for the 53rd batch of PGP students was the battle for the coveted title, "Marketing God of Joka." The event was conducted by the Experiential Marketing Association of IIM Calcutta (MAC).

Brandwich

Marcell, the marketing club of IIMC, organized its first event of the academic year 2016-17 - Brandwich. Designed to test both brand awareness and marketing acumen, the event generated a lot of buzz amongst the first years and saw participation from over 30 teams across the PGP and PGDBA programs.
