Final Placements 2016

IIM Calcutta concluded its final placements of 460 students within a record span of just 2.5 days, with a total of 501 offers being made to the students including 21 international offers.

9th Annual international entrepreneurship summit and I2I

The month kicked-off with the entrepreneurship cell of IIM Calcutta organising its 9th Annual International Entrepreneurship Summit and its flagship business plan competition Ideas to Implementation.

The 3rd batch Reunion at IIMC

The 3rd batch of IIM Calcutta, which graduated from this institute in 1966, celebrated its Golden Jubilee reunion at the campus in February 2016. Many of the colleagues were retired from their prestigious jobs as well as came from outside India to attend the reunion.

The day started off with a campus tour for this batch as they were amazed to see the new campus which was peculiarly different from the one in which they had spent their college life. This was followed by lunch and then some fun activities as well as their scheduled meetings with the student body were conducted.

The evening dinner was being hosted in the Tata Hall where group photographs and pleasantry exchanges took place. Overall it was great fun living those college moments with the 3rd batch of IIM Calcutta.

Upcoming Events

IIMCIP Roundtable on March 25, 2016: IIM Calcutta Innovation Park is organizing a Roundtable on "Thinking Social" in Mumbai on 25th March 2016, at Hotel Vivanta by Taj. The theme of the round table is "Financial Inclusion". The discussion session would focus around three broad aspects - Increasing Coverage, Accessibility and Technology Adaptation for Financial Inclusion. The registration is on a first-confirmed-first-served basis and does not require any fee.

Case Method Workshop: IIM Calcutta Case Research Centre (IIMCCRC) is organizing a two-day workshop on the Case Method on the 28th & 29th of March 2016. This workshop will emphasize the value of the case method in the learning of students. It is intended for all those with an interest in using case studies as a teaching tool, as well as those who are interested in development of such teaching cases. Few model cases will also be presented in the workshop.
