Reminiscence 2015

Every December, IIM Calcutta hosts a grand reunion for the silver jubilee batch giving them an opportunity to return to their Alma mater and reconnect with old friends. This year, Reminiscence was held for the 25th batch during December 26-27, 2015.The two day carnival included a guided tour of the campus, a discussion with the Director and Dean, interaction with former professors and current students, and a cruise dinner on the Ganges among others. The alumni were treated to memorable performances by the IIM Calcutta Dramatics and Choreo club and the event culminated with a special performance by JBS BaroC.

i-Hatch by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park

On December 4, 2015 IIM Calcutta Innovation Park launched "i-Hatch", a monthly event to facilitate transformation of innovative ideas into successful ventures.

The event was organized in partnership with IvyCamp (An IvyCap Ventures Initiatives) and involved key stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem to be a part of it. We had 22 startups from this region attending this session and 5 Investors. It was a 3 hour event with generic discussions about "What investors look for?" after which the teams had a one-on-one discussion with the investors.

30th Batch Reunion

The 30th Batch Reunion was held on 19th December 2015, a week before Reminiscence. It hosted alumni from varied professions who have achieved several milestones. The event was however, not just for the alumni, but also one for the students who were eager to hear about their experiences and be prepared before making first strides in the corporate world.

CEO Lecture Series

The CEO lecture series kick-started at IIM Calcutta on 28th November 2015 with Mr. Sanjiv Mehta, CEO, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. delivering the lecture on "Learn to Lead".

Intaglio 2016: IIM Calcutta's International Business School summit will take place on 9 & 10th of January, 2016. Intaglio 2016, with its theme 'Diversity: A Road to Innovation', is all set to deliver that legendary experience.
Carpe Diem 2016: Carpe Diem, the student run event of IIMC brings together participants from prestigious institutions of India to showcase their talents in theatre, creativity, music and literary events. It also includes social activities to give back to the society through the programme 'Ummeed'. This year's Carpe Diem is scheduled to take place on January 30 and 31, 2016.
Tata Social Enterprise Challenge: The top 20 teams who will be competing against each other at the 4th Tata Social Enterprise Challenge have been shortlisted. There were close to 700 registrations for the contest and about 220 teams submitted their Impact Proposal. This year's TSEC is scheduled to be held during January 13-16, 2016.
