Distinguished Alumnus Award 2018

The Distinguished alumnus award ceremony was held during the Institute Foundation day on Nov.14. Seven alumni were felicitated this year with the coveted award. They are, Mr. Thulasiraj Ravilla (Director Operations, Aravind Eye Hospitals), Mr. Pradeep Gupta (Chairman, CyberMedia Group), Mr. Ambi M G Parameswaran (Founder, Brand-Building.com), Mr. Harish Nim (Founder and CEO, Emerio Globesoft Pte Ltd.), Dr. Ritu Agarwal (Distinguished University Professor and Robert H. Smith Dean’s Chair of Information Systems,Senior Associate Dean, Co-Director, Center for Health Information and Decision Systems, Robert H. Smith School of Business,University of Maryland), Shri Ajay Bisaria (Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan) and Mr. Saurabh Agrawal (Group CFO, Tata Sons). BoG Chairman Shri Shrikrishna Kulkarni presided over this event and the Chief invitee was Chairman & Managing Director of Air India, Shri Pradeep Singh Kharola.

Arijit Mukherji Memorial Lecture

The annual Arijit Mukherji Memorial Lecture was held on November 23. It was to the greatest pleasure of everyone in the campus that this year’s lecture was delivered by none other than Shri Madhusudhan Gopalan, alumnus 34th batch & MD & CEO of Proctor & Gamble India.

Mandi- the Marketplace of Joka

Mandi, the flagship event of M.A.C, the Experiential Marketing Club of IIM Calcutta was held on a Sunday, the 3rd of December 2018. The event called upon students to set up their own stalls. The event was exclusively for our college members and the teams were judged based on the profit made and their reach on social media among other criteria.

Changemaker Series: Girls Safety; an INCA initiative

INCA - IIM Calcutta in collaboration with Save the Children India organised a Changemaker series programme on the theme “Girls Safety” on 20th November. The Changemaker Series by Save the Children is rooted in the belief that the youth of today must stand up and speak out for the youth of tomorrow.

INCA - IIM Calcutta, JBS BaroC, Child Champions, Journalists, member of Juvenile Justice Act and the student community of IIM Calcutta came together to start a change. "Akhir Kyun" A short drama was performed by children who inspired many by their brave stories!
