IIM Calcutta Ranked No. 1 in Times B School Rankings

Yet another feather has been added to the institute’s cap with IIM Calcutta being adjudged the best nationally among top 100 B Schools in the Times B School rankings. XLRI, Jamshedpur and SPJIMR, Mumbai have been ranked second and third respectively. The rankings were decided in partnership with i3RC Insights. The objective of the survey which was being conducted for the sixth time was to arrive at the top business schools in India with a total of 100 ranks. The rankings have been allotted after a thorough analysis and evaluation of various parameters based on surveys conducted over a 3-month period. The procedures involved desk research, factual data collection and a perceptual survey.

It is notable that we have moved up to the first place from the second-place last year. This along with being ranked 9th for our PGDBA program has spelt a good month for the institute.
PGDBA Students from IIM Calcutta Ranked 9th in Data Science Game 2018

Four PGDBA students of IIM Calcutta- Manoj Mana, Teja Ram, Tanmay Choudhary and Yash Hansalia were ranked 9th in the qualifier round for Data Science Game 2018, an international game challenge based on machine learning. The coveted place in the list of finalists for the next phase of the challenge also earned them a ticket to the city of love, Paris, where the final round will be taking place in the last week of September.

Talk by Agnijo Banerjee, the 17 year old with the highest IQ on the planet

IIM Calcutta has been a host to many special individuals since inception in 1961, and the name of Agnijo Banerjee was added to this list when he delivered a talk at the East Amphitheatre on 31st July at 6:15pm, extending well beyond the scheduled close of 7:30 pm.

Talk by Arun Thukral, MD & CEO of Axis Securities Ltd

The campus was graced by the presence of Mr. Arun Thukral, the MD & CEO of Axis Securities Ltd. on the pleasant evening of July 10, 2018. Mr. Thukral, a Delhi University alumnus of 1991, has had a rich experience in various senior positions. After a 4-year stint as Joint MD at Axis Securities starting in 2010, he was elevated to MD & CEO in 2014 and has recently authored the book 'Yogi on Dalal Street'.
