Entrepreneurship Cell of IIM Calcutta launched an interview series with Startup founders called 'Journey of an Entrepreneur’. The series gives enthusiasts a sneak peak into the minds of successful entrepreneurs. The candid interviews also allow budding entrepreneurs to learn about the ups and downs during the journey of getting a business of the ground. The series wishes to tap into the wisdom of these entrepreneurs who decided to take the road less travelled. E-Cell launched the first interview as part of their ‘Journey of an Entrepreneur’ Interview Series. The first episode was graced by Vineet Patawari, who is founder and CEO of StockEdge - one of India’s most highly rated Stock Market Self-Research tools for retail investors. Vineet has also co-founded the largest dedicated financial market training platform, elearnmarkets.com. The interview allowed all the budding entrepreneurs to peek into Vineet’s mind and understand his startup journey. In the second episode of their ‘Journey of an Entrepreneur’ Interview Series which followed the journey of Viral Patel. Viral had worked at Bosch Rexroth and Matrix in the domain of Engineering and Sales respectively, before the startup bug bit him. He had an idea to make summer internships for students more easy and effective. This is what led Viral to create Addivity. In the episode, Viral details his startup journey and gives great nuggets of wisdom to all the budding entrepreneurs out there.

In collaboration with IIM Calcutta Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI), they launched the Entrepreneurship Webinar Series. The series would follow IIM Calcutta Alumni who have successfully navigated their entrepreneurial journey. The series kicked off with a fireside chat between Mr. V. Shankar and Director, IIM Calcutta. He is the founder of Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) and also an IIM-C Distinguished Alumnus Award winner from the PGDM batch of 1983. In an hour long chat, he shared the ins and outs of his entrepreneurial journey. This opportunity added a lot of value to the students in attendance who got to learn about how to manage entrepreneurial ventures in the technology domain.

In the third episode of ‘Journey of an Entrepreneur’ Interview Series featured Nitish Mathur, the CEO and cofounder of 3Cans. In the episode he deconstructs his entrepreneurial journey. Nitish is also extremely passionate about growth marketing and helping companies hone their brands digitally. He has also co-authored ‘the growth hacking book’. On 15th November, Entrepreneurship Cell of IIM Calcutta launched another episode of their ‘Journey of an Entrepreneur’ Interview Series. This time the series followed Vikas Sharma, the co-founder of Adofix. Adofix is an e-commerce platform for home appliances and supplementary services. Vikas has also co-founded Adofast which is an on--demand vehicle booking platform for Goods Movements. The episode allows budding entrepreneurs to uncover the secrets of his vibrant entrepreneurial journey. The 5th episode of their 'Journey of an Entrepreneur' Series covered by Vikram Subburaj, who is the CEO and Co-Founder of GiottusCryptocurrency Exchange, India’s leading Crypto Assets Trading Platform. Vikram is a Joka alum who proved his mettle spearheading large categories in organizations like Amazon and ITC. He has worked as a BI consultant and has also handled FMCG Distribution for international markets like Europe, the Middle East, China, and India.

ECell IIMC launched one of India’s biggest Annual Entrepreneurship Summit, ‘Genesis’. The summit is themed around ‘Imagining a New Tomorrow’ and would consist of the events, workshops and guest lectures. The summit was graced by eminent personalities such as Philip Kotler are set to bigger and better than ever before.
